Gather your ingredients
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees
Get a piece of aluminum foil and spray some non stick spray.
Place your garlic cloves onto the aluminum foil.
Drizzle with olive oil and sea salt.
Close your aluminum foil, making a little purse.
Place in your oven and roast for about 40 minutes. While we wait for our garlic to roast, let's start the potatoes.
Place your potatoes (Cut and Cubed) into an empty pot.
Fill the pot with cold water and place it on the stove. You want the potatoes to be completely submerged
Turn your heat to medium/high and cover.
They are done when fork tender.
Drain the water from the pot.
Let us stop to check on the garlic.
It is done when the cloves are golden brown and fork tender.
Let us prepare your mixer by attaching the paddle attachment.
Place the potatoes into your mixer.
Add your garlic.
Into the warm pot that your potatoes were in add your milk and butter. This will melt the butter and warm the milk.
Now pour that into your mixer and turn it on to low.
Add your garlic salt and pepper.
Mix the roasted garlic mashed potatoes until it reaches the consistency you want . Some people like it smooth, others like it chunky.
Plate and serve.
