Las Picuas Beach - Rio Grande
Playa las Picuas is a calm and cozy beach. Visitors can take a stroll along this beach and revel in the picturesque views of the turquoise blue waters of the ocean and the surrounding mountains. It is common to see leatherback turtles nesting here in secluded areas. It is also easy to spot marine animals like sand dollars and crabs along the shore. This beach is a great place to visit for tourists and locals in the area.
Charco El Hippie
El Charco el Hippe is a natural pool located in the town of Naguabo, in the foothills of the Yunque. It is an extremely large river and has many areas for the enjoyment of its visitors. It has several stones, at different heights, so that its bathers can jump into the pool. The natural pool area is extremely large which makes it perfect for swimming.
Las Paylas
Being a rain forest, there are plenty of rivers that come down from El Yunque. Over many years, the rushing waters have made some of these river rocks into natural playgrounds, complete with pools and water slides. There is a place in Luquillo called Las Paylas (or Las Pailas) were the rocks in this river are really smooth and make for some really fun slides. Type in Las Paylas in google maps and it will take you right there. 5 dollars to park and 1 dollar per person.
